Colortronic has developed a new compact pipe magnet system for the examination of different granulates in standing or slow moving material columns.

The SAFEMAG system can be used as a standalone system for the pre-separation of ferromagnetic particles, or as an efficient add on for the company’s Protector metal separator, which is suitable for materials where high levels of ferrous contamination are present.

The unit has a mounting height of 60mm and is said to be the slimmest pipe magnet available on the market. The compact alu-block design allows the installation of conveyor, mixing and dosing units directly under the magnet. The three magnet rods in Neodymium design have a magnetic force of 7000 Gauss at the surface.

The pipe magnet is available in three variants with outlet diameters of 40mm, 50mm and 60mm.
