Alcan seals deal with Decorpart

Alcan Packaging Beauty has signed a commercial partnership agreement with Decorpart (UK), manufacturer of metal parts for cosmetics packaging. Alcan says this will enable it to expand its range and offer metal packaging solutions and complex developments combining plastic and metal.

As part of the arrangement, Decorpart is setting up in Suzhou, China on a site next to Alcan Packaging Beauty’s industrial platform, which began production in October 2005. The new site is scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year and will develop metal parts for mascaras, compacts, lipsticks, perfume caps and jar lids produced and assembled by Alcan in Asia.
