Aveda gears up for Earth Month 2009

This April will see Aveda launching its exclusive Earth Month Candle for 2009 – a special edition charity candle timed to coincide with the company’s 30th anniversary.

This April will see Aveda launching its exclusive Earth Month Candle for 2009 – a special edition charity candle timed to coincide with the company’s 30th anniversary.

The candle will be sold during the month of April at all Aveda stores, spas and through its website. 100% of the proceeds will go to support Aveda’s earth month partner, Global Greengrants Fund, who provide grants for community-based water projects around the world.

In honour of its 30th anniversary, Aveda hopes to raise $3m in 30 days with this item which would bring its fundraising total to $14m since 1999.

The Earth Month Candle retails at £15 and comprises EcoCert certified organic ingredients including lavender, lavandin and clary sage.
