Both are set to release this September, making their debut appearance on the UK market. The move highlights Avon's desire to offer a larger portfolio of prestige fragrance.

Created by IFF, Christian Lacroix Rouge is a floral chypre comprising a head of wild red peony and citrus accents following through to a heart of modern floral notes. The base is a combination of cashmere woods, patchouli and musks. Christian Lacroix Noir is a fougere with a head of ginger and saffron, a heart of cardamom, textured orris and a base of cedarwood and vetiver. Both are to retail at £18.

Both partners expressed their satisfaction with the deal. Mr Lacroix explained: “By partnering with Avon, the company whose heritage is a virtual celebration of women, I can connect with women everywhere,” while senior vice president and brand president for Avon Products, Geralyn Brieg, added: “Together, Avon and Christian Lacroix will enhance and realise their respective visions, expanding their objectives of offering inspiring and quality fashion to women everywhere.”
