United Arab Emirates-based (UAE) online retailer AWOK.com has reported a 500% rise in sales over the past year. Established in April 2013, the company attributes its success to the UAE’s rapidly growing e-commerce industry. E-commerce in the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) is expected to grow by 40% by 2020, according to Frost & Sullivan.
