Azelis expands European distribution network

European distributor of speciality chemicals, Azelis has added a new company, Azelis Austria, to its business. The development follows the acquisition of the distribution assets of Weinzierl GmBH following the decision by the owners of Weinzierl to separate distribution activities from the production of cosmetics and cleaning products.

“Azelis Austria as a daughter company of Azelis Alpine will create a strong platform for the further development of our Care Chemicals business, serving mainly Cognis in Austria,” commented Azelis ceo, Hans Udo Wenzel. “It will also serve the coatings and plastics sectors and, in time, seek to access other industry sectors in Austria through the development of synergies with other parts of Azelis.”
