Bayer's film formers go stateside

Bayer MaterialScience LLC is introducing Bayer AG’s Baycusan® product line to the North American market. The polyurethane cosmetic ingredients are based on two technology platforms, firstly aqueous polyurethane dispersions as multifunctional film formers and secondly polyurethane microspheres as functional sensory aids. According to Bayer, the line contains no solvents or preservatives and can be used in both skin care and hair care products with little or no volatile organic compounds. Baycusan has been available to European markets since 2008.
