Colourful, juicy and transparent – jelly beauty products tick many sensorial boxes, providing both popping visuals and application indulgence.

Formulations play an important role, but cosmetic packaging is also proving key in keeping jelly beauty at the top of consumers’ wish lists.

Jocelyn Axelrod, VP of Global Product Marketing at Sol de Janeiro, tells Cosmetics Business that the jelly trend is part of a wider demand for experiential beauty goods.

“Consumers today are drawn to the fun side of beauty – and textures that feel playful and instantly gratifying,” she says.
