The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China gives clearance for acquisition to proceed

Berkshire Hathaway Inc and The Lubrizol Corporation received notification from the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China that it has formally approved Berkshire Hathaway's planned acquisition of the global speciality chemical company.

The parties expect the transaction to close today – Friday 16 September 2011.
