Boxal to focus on water-based coatings to reduce environmental impact

Dutch company Boxal is introducing solvent-free, water-based coatings for the production of aerosol containers as part of a global programme of reducing the environmental impact of production.


Dutch company Boxal is introducing solvent-free, water-based coatings for the production of aerosol containers as part of a global programme of reducing the environmental impact of production.

This development has been carried out in close cooperation with customers on their key aerosol can concepts and will be implemented without loss of aesthetic and physical qualities, says Boxal. The company adds that implementation of water-based coatings on aerosols at its production sites will lead to significant annual VOC emission reduction supporting a more sustainable industry.
