Brian Marks launches Nene\'s Secret to target ethnic hair

Published: 11-Jul-2013

US hair care guru Brian Marks is rolling out a new line of hair products, Nene’s Secret, aimed at African American women.

Named Nene after Marks’ wife, the line uses a range of African ingredients designed to target the hair concerns of afro hair. The line will be promoted via social media and sold online through the brand’s website nenessecret.com to customers in the US.

The idea behind the line, said Marks, is that women can have the flexibility to alternate their hairstyles between straight and curly. In his 32 year career, Marks has already launched five hair brands, including two ethnic hair brands – African Pride and Dr Miracle’s. The new Nene’s Secret range consists of a LIL Leave In Conditioner, with My Secret Recipe; GG Gorgeous Gro with Kalahari Melon; CC Curly & Cute Curl Creme; PPP Perfect Pretty Pudding; SST Strengthening Serum Treatment with baobab oil; MM My Mom’s Hair Masque with My Secret Recipe; and BBB Best Beauty Butter.
