Budelpack Group completes management buyout

Budelpack, a major contract manufacturer for brand owners in the FMCG market, has announced the completion of its management buyout of the Budelpack Group. The previous majority shareholder Grace Holding, owned by ceo André Nieuwkerk, has signed the final agreement for the sale of its share to the other three board members - Chris Moerkerken, Peter Ingelse and Jan Bakker - and the private equity firms Greenfield Capital Partners and Dinvest who backed the deal.

Moerkerken has been appointed ceo. “We are pleased to have completed the management buyout, which is regarded as the best route for the future of the company,” he said. “Backed by strong investors, we will be able to accelerate the implementation of our growth strategy in personal and home care, acquiring and consolidating production capacities with the aim of creating value for all our stakeholders.”

Nieuwkerk, who founded the company in 1971, steps down and joins the supervisory board. The company currently has a turnover of €210m and 1,700 employees.
