A new survey by bizzibox.tv has revealed that by 2010 an estimated 13.8% of all health and beauty sales in the UK will be made online, with web video becoming increasingly more popular.

According to the video specialists, consumer demand for online video has significantly increased in 2009 with 29.6m UK consumers accessing video on the web in a single month. This represents great opportunities for the health and beauty industry, according to bizzibox.tv founder, Tom Acton.

“The web is now the first port of call for consumers searching for a product or service,” says Acton. “Businesses recognise this and are now tapping into this growing audience with engaging and affordable videos that reach a much wider audience than traditional newspaper, radio or even television advertising. Particularly in the health and beauty industry where the products and services are very visual, online video is becoming an increasingly popular communication tool.”
