Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) has announced its intention to hold an expanded version of the CEW Beauty Awards in 2007, with more product categories and twice the number of entrants.

Following the success of the 2006 edition CEW has introduced mass beauty and hair care, alongside prestige beauty, taking the number of product categories from 11 to 21 fro 207. Over 185 products have been entered for 2007, almost doubling the number of entrants from the previous year.

The awards are backed by a strong roster of retail partners, including World Duty Free, House of Fraser and Harrods, with QVC recently signing on for this year. Mark Riches, md World Duty Free, said: “We are truly delighted with the results of the first CEW (UK) Beauty Awards and look forward as a title sponsor, to an even more exciting and rewarding second year.”

The CEW Awards are the only independent awards recognising product innovation and excellence in UK beauty, with the winners chosen by industry insiders.
