Chanel celebrates Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu launch with kiosk pop-up

The luxury brand’s pop-up has opened outside of UK department store John Lewis in London, with visitors able to discover Chanel’s first addition to its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance franchise in six years

Chanel has opened a kiosk pop-up in the UK to promote the launch of its new amber fragrance Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu.

The activation opened on 20 August at UK department store John Lewis in Oxford Street, London, and is free for visitors to attend until 25 August.

Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu is the first new addition to Chanel’s hero Coco Mademoiselle fragrance franchise in six years.

Tickets are now available for the 25th anniversary of the Pure Beauty Awards, taking place on 15 October 2026 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, UK. Join the beauty industry for an evening of recognition and celebration as this year’s winners are revealed. Click here to secure your place.

Designed by Olivier Polge, Chanel’s In-House Perfumer Creator, the fragrance opens with notes of lychee‑grapefruit accord, blended with a floral heart of rose, jasmine and patchouli, and set against a base of amber.

During the visit, guests can participate in Crush Hotline, where they can answer the ‘Coco Mademoiselle phone’ to hear a private message from their ‘Crush’.

Visitors can also discover the new fragrance, its campaign story and receive a copy of the Mademoiselle Gazette to read editorial content about the new eau de parfum.

The pop-up follows Chanel naming singer Gracie Abrams as the face of its new fragrance Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu in July

“Guests will be invited to immerse themselves in unforgettable encounters with the world of Crush Absolu,” a Chanel company statement read.

Shoppers can also visit John Lewis’ store to shop the new Mademoiselle Makeup Collection with three limited edition creations available.

This includes Exclusive Creation Les 9 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette in The New Smoke, Exclusive Creation Rouge Coco Crush Lipstick and Le Vernis Nail Polish in Coco.

Inspired by Chanel’s late founder Gabrielle Chanel, the collection is described by the brand as having “an independent mindset and determined to bend the rules while remaining stylish”.

In addition to the Oxford Street location, two additional outdoor UK Coco Mademoiselle Kiosks are launching in September.

Visitors can attend Crush Absolu pop-ups at Liverpool’s shopping destination Paradise Place from 4 to 12 September.

The new intense amber fragrance can also be discovered at department store chain Selfridges at Manchester’s Exchange Square from 25 September to 4 October.
