Chanel has announced the launch of its new fragrance, Eau Première, which is a reformulation of the iconic fragrance Chanel N°5.
Made by Jacques Polge, this is the first time that Chanel has reinterpreted the classic N°5 fragrance to make it more modern and give it a softer scent. The company stated that it created the fragrance in a bid to ‘draw back the memories’ of the classic fragrance, but ‘without nostalgia for the past’.
Created as a lighter and more discreet fragrance the perfume starts with metallic and fresh notes of Ylang Ylang, aldehydes and neroli of grasse, while having a floral heart of jasmin and may rose absolute before drying down to classic wood notes of bourbon vertiver and bourbon vanilla. The fragrance is launched in Europe next month.
