Chanel has sold its majority stake in innovation and manufacturing partner Capsum for an undisclosed amount.
Private equity firm Motion Equity Partners has acquired a majority stake in the business, alongside founding CEO Sébastien Bardon and the Capsum management team.
Beauty manufacturer Capsum, which specialises in the formulation of high-end skin care, make-up and fragrances, works with brands including Chanel, L’Occitane and Elizabeth Arden.
Now sitting under Motion EP, the firm will support Capsum to activate new growth drivers globally, including acceleration of its multi-technology offering beyond microfluids in the US and growth opportunities within the Asian market.
Chanel will retain a minority stake in the company.
