Clariant acquires Oberhausen Technology Center
Gains expertise in new formulation technologies
Swiss specialty chemicals group Clariant has acquired German company Oberhausen Technology Center (OTC) to further strengthen its Industrial & Consumer Specialities (ICS) Business Unit. The move, the financial details of which are undisclosed, comes less than two months after Clariant announced a long term partnership between its ICS business and biopolymer supplier Kitozyme.
OCT provides formulation expertise to develop new technologies into cost efficient consumer products and has a leading position developing delivery technologies for micronised actives.
“OCT gives us an entry into advanced delivery systems for actives and provides us with access to innovative formulation technologies, complementing our own portfolio,” comments Michael Willome, head of Clariant’s ICS business.
