Shearer worked in the pharmaceutical industry before joining the luxury products division of L'Oréal.
Courtin-Clarins, speaking at the company's AGM, confirmed the targets for 2008 which include organic growth of between 4% and 6% and an improvement in the margins on current activities. However, it is expected that the launch of a number of new products will have some effect on margins in 2008 and 2009.
