Cognis sells Pulcra Chemicals to strategic investor

Speciality chemical company Cognis has agreed to sell its Pulcra Chemicals business to the German-based investor Fashion Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG for Euro26.3m. The investor is mainly backed by DSD Deri Sanayicileri Dis Ticaret, based in Istanbul, Turkey.

The subsidiary supplies process chemicals to the leather and textiles industries and its sale is inline with Cognis’ strategy of focusing on its core businesses driven by the wellness and sustainability trends.
