Hosokawa Micron’s new Vitomix is a shear mixer capable of achieving high mixing accuracy in a short time span.
The blender’s key feature is its compact design that is partially conical and offers the same mixing volume as standard conical blenders but with a reduced structural height.
The mixer uses high-speed double ribbon screws to provide a faster mixing process that is also efficient at low linear screw speeds. In addition, the mixer features two large multipurpose high-speed lumpbreakers incorporated into the vessel wall, which enables more liquid to be injected into the batch, helping to prevent lumps.
The Vitomix is available in eight standard sizes from 500 - 1,300 litres and is suitable for free flowing products, difficult cohesive materials and pastes.
