UK personal care and beauty management group The Core Business has acquired Essex-based Amirose International Ltd. Amirose manufactures and distributes a wide range of personal care and cosmetics products and accessories under its own brand names to major multiples including Asda and Superdrug as well as independent pharmacies. It also supplies own label products to retailers including Marks and Spencer and Sephora. The company is also said to have excellent relationships with manufacturers in the Far East and is developing an export business.
The acquisition of Amirose with its own portfolio of brands is believed to represent a great opportunity to leverage growth.
“We are delighted to be working with Jack Gordon, md of Amirose,” says Stirling Murray, chief executive of The Core Business. “We believe that our network of retail contacts will help the entry of Amirose brands into new and wider channels of distribution and that Amirose will provide The Core Business with exciting new brands and access to low cost manufacturing and packaging.”
Earlier this year The Core Business launched Elite Models Fashion beauty accessories into Superdrug, soon to be joined by Elite Models Fashion colour cosmetics.
