Coty Beauty president to give HBA keynote
Eric Thoreux, president of Coty Beauty Americas is to make the keynote speech at this year's HBA show in New York (12-14 September 2006). Thoreux will speak on Brand building innovations at 9am on 12 September in the Special Events Hall.
“The fast changing retail and media environment is forcing all industries to rethink their pace of innovation, as well as re-assess what innovation is in a world where consumers have more control than ever,” says Thoreux. “In my HBA address, I will use examples from the fragrance, colour and skin care categories to illustrate how brand building innovations need to go beyond the product itself to push the envelope of communication, distribution and get the attention of the consumer.”
Thoreux is also expected to offer insights into how companies now need to look at the consumer differently and what it means to product and brand development.
Coty Beauty is the mass market division of worldwide fragrance and cosmetics company Coty Inc which has around $3bn in annual net sales worldwide. Thoreux is responsible for the consolidation of all Coty Beauty's North American, Canadian and Latin American business.
