Italian designer partners with Coty to create new fragances


Coty has announced it has signed a licensing agreement with Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli for the creation, development and distribution of his Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli fragrances.

The deal will take effect in July 2011, when the designer’s existing license with Italian beauty company ICR-ITF expires. The first products from the new Coty/Cavalli agreement are expected on counter in spring 2012.

“Roberto Cavalli is one of the most joyous and colourful Italian fashion houses,” said Coty Prestige president, Michele Scannavini. “Fragrance is a key opportunity for this successful company and we are looking forward to working with Roberto and Eva Cavalli to capture their incomparable flamboyant style in an olfactive identity.”
