After 20 years with Coty, the former England footballer’s line of fragrances will be overseen and expanded by Interparfums from 2028

Interparfums has scored the global license for David Beckham’s line of fragrances.

The fragrance specialist has agreed an exclusive 20-year deal with the former England footballer, and husband of fashion and beauty entrepreneur Victoria Beckham, and Authentics Brands Group, which co-owns the rights to brand Beckham.

The agreement will see Interparfums boost the presence of David Beckham’s existing line-up of scents worldwide and embark on new fragrances launches.

Interparfums will take over full responsibility for David Beckham’s fragrances from 1 April 2028.

Coty has held the license for the footballer’s fragrances since 2005, and the range includes Instinct, Classic and Intimately Beckham.

David Beckham said the partnership will evolve his fragrances “for the long-term”.

Jean Madar, Chairman and CEO of Interparfums, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with David Beckham, who embodies modern sophistication and timeless elegance shaped by determination, authenticity and refined taste.

“This milestone agreement further strengthens our relationship with Authentic Brands Group, the visionary company who co-owns and manages the David Beckham brand.

“Together, we will blend Beckham’s entrepreneurial influence with our fragrance expertise to inspire a richer world of style and self-expression through scent.

“Guided by our dedication to quality, innovation and craftsmanship, we will strengthen the global presence of Beckham’s existing fragrance lines and plan to unveil a new signature fragrance by the end of 2029.

“We estimate that total annual sales will exceed US$50mn in the first years under our management.”

Interparfums has also landed another worldwide fragrance license from Authentic Brands Group.

The deal will see the fragrance specialist enter a 20-year agreement for the creation, development, production and distribution of fragrances under the Nautica brand from 1 January 2030.

Annual sales in the first year are expected to be $70m, Interpafums said.

Coty has held the license for the fashion and home brand since 2005.

The new agreements come as Coty faces losing its license for producing fragrance for Gucci, which includes blockbuster scents such as Gucci Bloom and Gucci Guilty.

Gucci’s owner Kering struck a new deal with L’Oréal in October last year that includes the rights to enter into a 50-year exclusive license for the creation, development, and distribution of fragrance and beauty products for Gucci.

This will commence after the expiration of the current license with Coty, Kering stated at the time the L’Oréal deal was announced.
