Carita (Shiseido) is set to launch a new preventative anti-ageing line in its Ideal skin care range.

Ideal Hydration is based on lagoon water from the Raïatea lagoon near Bora Bora. This key ingredient contains the minerals sulphur, potassium and sodium as well as trace elements of calcium and magnesium. Together with the brand’s Aqua Fix complex and Aqua-Move Complex, they are said to optimise the skin’s basic hydrating mechanisms,

preventing lines and wrinkles that are formed as a result of dehydration.

The line consists of Lagoon Gelée, a gel cleanser with micro-pearls of pro-vitamin E and B, Lagoon Water toner, Lagoon Serum, to be applied prior to the Lagoon Cream and Lagoon Bath, a cream mask.

Launch: UK from February

Prices: From £26 for cleanser and toner to £61 for Lagoon Cream
