Dow Microbial Control launches Australia facility
Aggressive growth anticipated in Australia and New Zealand
Dow Microbial Control has today opened its cutomer application centre (CAC) in Melbourne, Australia, giving the company’s customers in Australia and New Zealand access to state-of-the-art testing laboratories and innovative formulations.
Senior management from Dow Microbial Control, including Mark Henning, Global General Manager Dow Microbial Control and Rick Strittmatter, Global Research and Development Director for Dow Microbial Control, John Williamson, Sales Director Thermosets South Asia, Dow Chemical (Australia) Limited; and Henry Chin, regional commercial manager for Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand were joined by more than 60 customers from a spectrum of industries, including paint and coatings as well as gas and oil.
The Dow Microbial Control Academy also conducted its first training courses in Australia, focused on the latest technologies and trends in microbial control. The company’s Academy headquartered in Singapore also serves as a key resource for customers in the Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand region. The Academy is designed to provide customers with access to educational opportunities, regulatory support, technical expertise and R&D tools to attain the best solution to specific microbial control challenges that can result in further efficiencies and cost savings.
A result of Dow’s 2009 acquisition of Rohm & Haas, Dow Microbial Control is the combination of world leaders in biocides, with expertise in a wide range of markets including personal care as well as paints and coatings, gas and oil and industrial water treatment. The company says it provides a high performing and sustainable portfolio of products.
