Economic crisis claims in-cosmetics India

Reed Exhibitions has chosen to postpone in-cosmetics India 2009 citing the ongoing global financial crisis as the reason for its decision. According to Richard Hesk, group exhibition director for the in-cosmetics group, the move has been made at the request of potential exhibitors many of whom have been forced to streamline their sales and marketing costs and defer international expansion plans.


Reed Exhibitions has chosen to postpone in-cosmetics India 2009 citing the ongoing global financial crisis as the reason for its decision. According to Richard Hesk, group exhibition director for the in-cosmetics group, the move has been made at the request of potential exhibitors many of whom have been forced to streamline their sales and marketing costs and defer international expansion plans.

As a result, all of Reed Exhibitions’ efforts in the region over the coming year will focus on in-cosmetics Asia, which takes place in Singapore from 13-15 October 2009 and PCHi, to be held in Shanghai from 10-12 March 2010. However, Hesk is adamant that the event will be resurrected “as soon as the global economic circumstances and environment become more favourable”.
