UK spa specialist Elemis has launched a new Body Sculpting System that is said to reduce the appearance of the ‘orange peel’ effect, leaving a smoother, slimmer body contour in just four weeks.
The system comprises two products - Body Sculpting Lipo-Refining Serum, to slow down the skin cell’s progression from healthy to abnormal, and Body Sculpting Firming Cream to smooth and firm skin.
The key ingredient in both products is Peru Liana, said to inhibit fat storage in pre-adipocytes. Also included in the serum is Laminaria digitata,
theophylline and cecropia extract, which are claimed to break down fatty deposits by promoting lipolysis, thus reducing the size and number of adipocyte cells. The cream contains sea fennel and brown algae scoparia to help smooth and firm, bitter orange peel to drain and a complex of organic silicium and spring seawater to tone. The products are now available worldwide for £40.
