Elizabeth Arden to launch Rocawear range

Elizabeth Arden has entered into an exclusive global licensing agreement with Iconix for the development, marketing and distribution of male and female fragrances, cosmetics, and skincare products under the clothing brand Rocawear, bought by Iconix in March 2007.

Elizabeth Arden has entered into an exclusive global licensing agreement with Iconix for the development, marketing and distribution of male and female fragrances, cosmetics, and skincare products under the clothing brand Rocawear, bought by Iconix in March 2007.

A major attraction of the Rocawear brand is the creative involvement of Shawn Carter (better known as rapper Jay-Z), whose input is said to help link the brand to young consumers.

"Elizabeth Arden's leadership in fragrance, coupled with the creative involvement of Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and the team at Rocawear and Iconix, will provide us with a strong platform for success." said said E. Scott Beattie, chairman and ceo of Elizabeth Arden.

A debut fragrance is planned for launch in the fall of 2008.
