Lalique has created a mysterious masculine scent masterminded by Firmenich’s Nathalie Lorson. Encre Noire is a woody scent said to express itself differently on each wearer as it is revealed gradually. The scent opens with woody cypress notes leading to a heart of bourbon vetiver and Haiti vetiver and a base of musk and cashmere wood for a warm, smoky fragrance with a hint of leather.
The edp is housed in a crystal inkpot inspired by the Encrier Biche created in 1913 and closes with an emery top and a cover in solid Wengé. The edt is presented in a square of transparent black glass topped by a Wengé wood stopper engraved with the Lalique logo.
Launch: UK, US, Italy, Spain and France from October
Prices: £360 for 60ml Encre Noire edp, £34 for 50ml, £48 for 100ml Encre Noire Natural Spray edt
