Israeli Biotechnology Research has unveiled IBR-Dragon as part of its Dormins platform. The aqueous extract is obtained from pitaya fruit, a type of warm climate cacti, also called dragon fruit. Dormins comprise extracts from plants in their dormant stage to maintain healthier skin and prevent hyper proliferative cell disorders.

IBR-Dragon slows down cell proliferation, while high polysaccharide levels tighten the skin. And because it is sourced from a cactus, IBR-Dragon contains defence mechanisms against harsh environments, according to the company.

IBR is also celebrating the release of a recent report, Plant Foods For Human Nutrition, which found the colourless carotenoids from the alga Dunaliella, phytoene and phytofluene to be as effective as ß-carotene in their antioxidative effect. IBR products containing these carotenoids include IBR-CLC, IBR-AAC and IBR-TCLC and the beauty supplement PhytoflORAL.
