EU introduces business focused product alert service

The European Commission has launched a new alert service allowing businesses to issue warnings that products they are handling could be dangerous to consumers. This new GPSD Business Application [General Product Safety Directive] complements the existing EU RAPEX service where consumer protection authorities issue alerts.

The new application can be operated online at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/gpsd-ba/
