EU launches anti-counterfeiting organization
A European Observatory on Counterfeiting and Piracy, established to fight intellectual property criminals faking products such as cosmetics, has been launched in Brussels. The new EU institution has been charged with collecting data on counterfeit goods, raising awareness, circulating views and best practice in enforcing intellectual property rights between business and national authorities.
