Evonik and Sabinsa have expanded their exclusive marketing partnership, with Evonik now offering more of Sabinsa’s specialised, standardised botanical actives and extracts to the personal care industry. This builds on the one year old partnership and helps Sabinsa expand the global reach of its ingredients through Evonik’s extensive customer base.
“Collaborating with Sabinsa has allowed us to strategically broaden our ingredients portfolio with novel nature-derived active ingredients,” commented Willy Klipp, senior vp and general manager of Evonik’s business line Care Specialties. “As these bio-active compounds exactly meet the needs of our customers we now want to offer them another two Sabinsa cosmeceuticals for the development of innovative products and new applications.”
The two additional materials in question are Venocin (90%), a standardised extract derived from horse chestnut seeds and said to help varicose or spider vains, and Xymenynic Acid, a standardised powder extract from Santalum album seeds said to provide anti-inflammatory activity. These join the existing line-up of Tego Galanga, Policosanol, Arjuna and Turmerone.
The Sabinsa group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sami Labs Ltd, India and all products are produced as Sami’s national award winning research centre in Bangalore.
