Since the official opening of Expac’s new bespoke 60,000 square foot production facility back in January 2012, the company has seen an influx in enquiries and new business. This increase has not only brought further growth to the company but it has also enabled Expac to investigate the feasibility of venturing into new markets.
Following on from an in-depth market analysis it was decided that, based on the current structure of the business, Expac would invest into a fragrance filling facility as this followed in suit with the current client base. This project had a 6 month timeline where all relevant machinery, building work and health and safety procedures must all be fully commissioned, in place and ready for the opening production run. Following on from 6 months of hard work from all people involved with the project, Expac has a fragrance filling facility ready to run consisting of the following equipment:
1. x2 500 litre mixing vessels
2. 500 litre holding vessel
3. 8 tonne storage tank
4. Alcohol chilling vessel
5. In line filter
6. All pipe work in place linking the entire system together
7. ATEC rated electrics throughout entire production area
8. Dual head filling line.
With all of the above installed this now enables Expac to produce alcohol based products such as Eau de Toilettes and room sprays. During the initial 2 months of production Expac has already manufactured over 150,000 units with new enquiries continually coming in.
Now that the fragrance filling facility is complete, Expac has the capability to produce a full range of personal care products, this includes; surfactant based liquid products (hand/body wash), lotion & cream based formulations, powder products (talc, bath salts), alcohol based products (fragrances, reed diffusers). Being able to produce the above products and having formulation development facilities on site Expac are able to offer a full service to their customers.
