Firmenich signs joint venture agreement with Jasmine Concrete Exports to increase leadership in naturals


Firmenich has signed a joint venture agreement with Indian extracts supplier Jasmine Concrete Exports. The family owned firm specialises in extracts of regional flowers such as jasmine sambac and tuberose, but is also expected to also produce flavours for Firmenich, including mint, vanilla and tropical fruits. It is based in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu state, a region known as India’s ‘flower belt’. “This partnership significantly increases our leadership in naturals for the fragrance, flavours and cosmetics industry,” said Firmenich CEO Patrick Firmenich in a statement.
