Formulations beyond a simple spray are bringing a sensorial addition to the ever-popular fragrance category, and pushing the boundaries of scent experiences and application.

Dolce & Gabbana Beauty has introduced a gel formula for the latest extension of its Light Blue franchise, enhanced by a cold-touch applicator that glides onto the skin.

With Light Blue Perfume Gel, the luxury beauty and fashion company seeks to reimagine fragrance application as a sensorial moment of self-care.

With a simple squeeze the alcohol-free formula is said to provide up to 16 hours wear, leave no residue on skin or clothes, and is infused with hyaluronic acid for hydration. 

Guerlain’s new Aqua Allegoria Perle fragrance range, meanwhile, introduces a micro-pearl formula which melts into skin, offering hydration benefits as well as a new sensory experience.
