Gerresheimer enjoys double-digit sales growth

Gerresheimer AG has reported sales of €1.06bn for 2008, a year on year increase of 10.7%.


Gerresheimer AG has reported sales of €1.06bn for 2008, a year on year increase of 10.7%.

The Düsseldorf-based company, which supplies glass and plastic delivery systems to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, is seeing the benefits of an expansion programme, which saw it acquire Brazilian plastic packaging manufacturer Allplas and the Spanish company EDP earlier in the year.

According to Gerresheimer’s ceo, Axel Herberg, the company expects to see the core business enjoy sales growth of 6% to 7% in 2009.
