It is understood the products were traced to two companies – D.i.Riveel Srl and Baist Trading Srl based in a district of Milan – where the authorities seized a total of over 6.4 million items. They were labelled in accordance with regulations but contained dangerous levels of toxic substances. Four people have been reported to the judicial authorities, two based in Milan and two in Venice.
