Now into its second day, the 18th edition of in-cosmetics is turning out to be not only the biggest in-cosmetics event to-date in terms of exhibitors and floorspace but also in visitor numbers. The first day alone yesterday welcomed a massive 3,900 visitors through the doors, 19% up on the first day last year which was itself a record over previous years.
Organisers Reed are naturally delighted. “All the feedback has been excellent and happy exhibitors make us happy,” commented Reed's Suzanne Brown, head of sales administration.
This year the show's special in-focus feature has highlighted the theme of Aphrodisia. Many exhibitors have developed themes and products around this and there is a hive of activity around the area. “It's been crowded from the start of the show,” says in-cosmetics marketing manager Cathy Laporte. “It's a great way for exhibitors to present their products.” Organiser of the feature Jacques Sebag, Re-Source! adds that companies are really pleased. “People are saying they're getting more visitors here than on their main stands.” Day one also included a half day Aprodisia conference. “What we are working on with Aphrodisia is creating a whole experience,” says Sebag.
