Israeli consumers’ prospects of enjoying cheaper cosmetics imports appear to have been dealt a blow, following news that the Israeli Health Ministry is planning to exempt large categories of products from planned reforms.
Currently, cosmetic and toiletries can only be brought into Israel by company-approved official importers. The result is that prices are around 62% higher in Israel than in OECD nations.
