US President Donald Trump has issued a new wave of tariffs as the world teeters on the edge of a global trade war.
At a baseline, the so-called ‘Liberation Day’ taxes impose a 10% tariff on all countries effective 5 April 2025.
But this is just the start, as the 47th President of the United States also issued “individualised” higher tariffs on the countries the US has the largest trade deficits with.
