J&J report a decline in third quarter sales
Johnson & Johnson has announced a decrease in sales for the third quarter of 2009, falling 5.3% to $15.1bn. Operating sales had a small growth of 1.1% said to driven by sales of skin care brand Aveeno, beauty brand Le Petit Marseillais and Listerine mouthrinse. William C Weldon, chairman and ceo said, “We continue to successfully manage our broad base of businesses and deliver solid earnings despite the impact of patent expirations and the challenges posed by the current economic situation.”
