The company hopes the initiative will in turn promote the brand and its cosmetics ranges to a new generation of beauticians, significantly affecting the company's business performance.

Scheduled to open in April in Tokyo's Kita Aoyama district, the Kanebo Total Beauty Academy will teach future generations of professional aestheticians as well as enabling them to conduct studies on beauty and health services.

Kanebo Cosmetics has been researching aesthetic care since 1966 and promotes "total beauty" as a holistic idea of beauty and health. "Beauty and health services are best practiced by professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote mental healing, together with a devotion to hospitality," says the company.
