Reality television star Kim Kardashian has reportedly acquired the licensing rights for Biotulin, an organic skin care brand that likens the effects of its topical products to Botox.
According to a report on dailyweek.net, the 35-year-old has invested in the ‘bio gel’ brand as part of a public move away from Botox. Currently pregnant, Kardashian is quoted as saying on Instagram: “No, I won't have any Botox injections during my pregnancy, just like they're claiming. You’d have to be totally crazy to do something like that to your child."
Biotin is a gel lotion that contains spilanthol, a local anaesthetic extracted from Acmella oleracea, a flowering herb in the Asteraceae family. This ingredient is said to reduce muscle contractions and relax features. Meanwhile, the product also contains Imperata cylindrica, also known as blady grass, which is said to supply skin with moisture for approximately four hours. Finally, hyaluron is the third key ingredient in Biotulin, which is said to help skin appear full and plump.
Kardashian’s latest beauty investment follows her make-up workshop, which was held earlier in the summer in collaboration with celebrity make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic. Kardashian is also behind the Kardashian Beauty line along with sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian.
