Malvern Instruments has created Kinexus, a new rotational rheometer platform. According to Malvern, Kinexus incorporates innovations in the most critical areas of rheometer design, from sample preparation and loading, through to measurement set-up and operation, data analysis and reporting.

?The new rheometer contains an intelligent software system, rSpace, which invites users to work at the level most appropriate to them. It also incorporates Malvern’s rMotion drive, a dynamically optimised motor with a unique adaptive air bearing that automatically configures its operation according to test conditions.

There are two Kinexus systems currently available: Kinexus pro, a high end rheometer suitable for a wide variety of routine ad research applications, and Kinexus ultra, for the most demanding low torque applications, such as weakly-structured and small volume sample measurements. Kinexus is also highly flexible and easy to expand, ready for further evolution as new applications emerge.
