The make-up brand made its UK debut in 2023, launching into Sephora and Space NK, after going viral on TikTok

Kosas Cosmetics is rumoured to be exploring a potential sale of the brand.

The Los Angeles-based skin care and make-up hybrid is said to have hired investment bank North Point to explore its options, industry sources close to the business have claimed.

Kosas, which was founded by Sheena Zadeh-Daly in 2015, previously secured Series A funding from investment firm CircleUp Growth Partners in 2018.

The brand used the funds to expand the scale of its domestic and international offering.

Kosas would eventually hit the mainstream after its Revealer Concealer went viral on TikTok in 2021.

It has since expanded into the UK market, launching exclusively into Sephora and Space NK in 2023.

In an exclusive interview with Cosmetics Business, Zadeh-Daly said the expansion was driven by strong demand from UK shoppers.

The brand’s product range is also stocked in multiple major retailers across the globe, including Cult Beauty, Goop, Mecca and Credo.

Cosmetics Business has contacted Kosas for comment.
