L'Occitane has opened its debut UK flagship store on London's Regent Street, said to take customers on a multi-sensory journey through the textures, fragrance and sounds of Provence.

The 6,450ft store is the French beauty company's largest in the world, spread across two floors and offering exclusive services including engraving, gift wrapping and personalised messages for more than 20 of its face, body care and fragrance products.

Meanwhile, customers can enjoy massages using L'Occitane's hand creams at the Hand and Arm Massage Bar, with treatments accompanied by a complimentary macaron as part of the company's collaboration with pastry chef Pierre Herme.

Consumers can then relax at the flagship's Pierre Herme café, selling macarons, tea, coffee and cake and overlooking the bustle of Regent Street.

L'Occitane teamed up with Dutch interior design company UXUS to redesign the store, which first opened 20 years ago, in the hope of creating a more luxurious retail experience.
