The L’Oréal –UNESCO For Women in Science partnership has announced its winners for its upcoming awards. The 2010 L’Oréal-UNESCO Awards in the Life Sciences will honour five women scientists, chosen from almost 1,000 nominations.
The L’Oréal –UNESCO For Women in Science partnership has announced its winners for its upcoming awards. The 2010 L’Oréal-UNESCO Awards in the Life Sciences will honour five women scientists, chosen from almost 1,000 nominations.
The five women - Rashika El Ridi, a professor at Cairo University in Egypt; Lourdes J Cruz, a professor at the Marine Science Institute at the University of the Philippines Diliman in the Philippines; Elaine Fuchs, from the Rockefeller University in the US; Anne Dejeane-Assémat, a professor at France’s Pasteur Institute; and Alejandra Bravo, from the Institute of Molecular Microbiology, Universidad Nacional Autonoma, Mexico - will each receive $100,000 in recognition of their contribution to the advancement of science.
